What gives you direction in life?

Drive to prove myself. I don’t know why do I even need to prove myself but there are a few “maybes”. Maybe because I was only appreciated when I did good on my score card, maybe because I was never taken seriously(even today), maybe because I have seen my mother struggle her way through life and marriage and she is the major push to where I’m today, maybe because I think I have not done enough or maybe because I am yet to be proud of myself.
